Camping
Sonisphere has enough camping space for everyone on site. That makes it as big as Donington Park or the sites for Reading and Leeds Festivals. The festival has the following campsites:
Early Entry
The festival site opens to weekend with camping ticket holders at midday on Friday 30th July. However, you can buy an Early Entry ticket which allows entry from 3pm on Thursday 29th July. This ticket can be booked when purchasing your festival ticket. Bohemia opens at 5pm on Thursday to keep you entertained with comedy, rock karaoke, films and other frivolity.
Early Entry ticket holders will have the benefit of being able to set their tents up anywhere in the main campsites. People who wish to camp in the Family Camping area (see below) can also arrive on Thursday and camp in the family camping area if they have both an Early Entry ticket and a Family Camping ticket. Please note though that Early Entry tickets have a limited capacity.
Family Camping
The Family Camping area is to allow those attending Sonisphere to find some respite from the hectic partying going on elsewhere. This will be located away from Bohemia and the arena so that it isn’t too affected by the late entertainment. Please be aware though that this is a rock festival and will be noisy!
Please note that you must book a “Family Camping” ticket when buying your tickets. Each member of the family must hold a separate ticket (with the exception of children aged 12 and under. See “Kids Go Free” for info). If you wish to also take advantage of Early Entry you must have a separate Early Entry ticket.
Accessible Camping
Sonisphere is committed to ensuring that everyone who wishes to can fully enjoy the festival, regardless of their abilities. Accessible camping is available for people with disabilities and their carers. This opens at 3pm on Thursday 29th July and is situated as close as possible to the entry to Bohemia. The campsite is fairly flat and is just off the road. There will be an information and welfare tent within the campsite which will be staffed during the day and will include a fridge for medication and the facility to charge wheelchairs. You may also park one car next to your tent.
To book a ticket for the accessible campsite please call 0115 959 7959. A carer’s ticket is included free of charge with each access ticket. Please note that in order to protect the space and facilities of the accessible campsite it is not possible for anyone without the correct ticket to camp in this area.
Please also use this number if you have any questions regarding the accessibility of the festival generally. There is also more information within the Buy Tickets : Accesibility section.
Campervans
A separate camping field is available for campervans. Each person staying in the campervan must individually have a weekend with camping ticket. Additionally a Campervan ticket is needed per campervan.
Campervans are defined as a self-propelled vehicle that has been either designed or converted to contain a sleeping area. You may pitch one tent OR awning (of a reasonable size) with each vehicle.
Please note that cars, caravans, trailer tents or anything that needs a car to pull it are not permitted.

- Alcohol: you are allowed to bring your own alcohol into the campsite but will not be able to take it into the arena.
